Today my heart rate spiked to 147 bpm when I was making lunch and then I had pins and needles in both my arms and hands. This was a 60 bpm jump and drop in heart rate in less than 5 minutes.
And then after the drop and finishing my lunch I got so tired and my heart rate dropped about 15bpm lower than my sleep average for the last few years and I couldn’t really stay awake. Even lifting my head enough to see the TV seemed like too much and hours later when I am thirsty and have to pee it was taking a lot of effort to get myself on my feet.
This is one of my current medical mysteries in a life of problems, so I thought I would start to make a list of things that I have been trying to manage for a long time. These may be related to psychological things but saving that full accounting for another post.
Chronic Digestive Issues
Largely front end
Acid reflux
Threw up and just went to high school 100+ times
Occasional painful gas
Bell peppers (particularly raw) trigger acid reflux
Nightshade intolerance? Tomatoes sometimes cause issues too
‘Seasonal’ Allergies
Sniffly pretty much every day of the year
Bad sinus headaches in both spring and fall in most climates
Allergen test at 25 confirmed grass and dust as biggest triggers
Much better after 7 years of allergy shots
Idiopathic Hives
Maybe Mast Cell Activation smoking gun? Allergist could never ID, but happened less after allergy treatments
Small cuts sometimes cause hives
Mosquito bites often become massive hive situation (bigger diameter than a softball for single bite)
Extreme stress also sometimes causes hives
Joint/tendon issues
Constantly rolling ankles growing up (internalized I just have weak ankles, calves maybe massive due to compensating?)
Knee pains starting around age 12/13, knee caps slightly misaligned and did PT and tape and pain mostly went away
Knee pain starting in fall 2024
Plantar fasciitis most of 2024
Hip tendon pull in early 2024
Many other sprains and strains
Tendonitis in both thumb/wrists
Did have cortisol flare after steroid treatment
Carpal and Ulnar Tunnel
Maybe related to other joint issues, but technically a nerve thing so I guess it gets it own category
Incontinence
Thought it was just ADHD time/attention issues and interoception but maybe connective tissue related?
Secondary Amenorrhea
Stopped paying attention for a while so not sure when exactly it started but it has been 6 months between last two and currently at 134 days
Did start menstruation early (age 10), so maybe perimenopause early
Getting ultrasound to follow up on it
Tachycardia
Just noticed spikes from fitbit data, but have had some symptoms before?
Occasional vertigo issues
Get dizzy quickly when just slightly dehydrated
Heat related dizziness too
Definitely have anxiety/stress spikes
